Version History

2007-05-02: CANoe 6.1

New Features:

Application Domain oriented Version Management

  • Versioning of communication objects in a central repository with interface to MS Source-Safe.
  • Vehicle projects, networks and signals can be modified and versioned independently.
  • Simultaneous editing of different networks and vehicle projects by several users.
  • The work of different users is coordinated by the version management functions.
  • Version management functions: Add a new object to the repository, check-Out an existing ob-ject from the repository and perform changes to the object exclusively, release changes of a new object version with the Check-In operation, dismiss the changes with an Undo-Check-Out operation.

Support of LIN specification 2.1 (DaVinci Network Designer LIN)

  • Support of the new concept for event-triggered-frames. A conflict resolving schedule table may be assigned to event-triggered-frames.
  • Support of new service identifiers introduced with LIN 2.1.
  • Support of frame indexes for the "AssignFrameIdRange" service instead of 16-bit message IDs.
  • A list of NADs can be defined as a slave node's initial node address.
  • Support of new LDF file format version 2.1.

Import and Export of NCF files (DaVinci Network Designer LIN)

  • Create a new LIN slave node based on the data in a NCF file
  • Published and subscribed frames and signals defined in the slave node's NCF file are automati-cally assigned to the LIN master node when importing the NCF file.
  • Support the creation of several LIN slaves based on a single reusable NCF file.
  • Processing of event triggered frames according to LIN 2.1
  • Export data of a LIN slave node's communication data into a NCF file
  • Support NCF file format versions for LIN 2.0 and LIN 2.1.

Improved Handling of FlexRay Parameters (DaVinci Network Designer FlexRay)

  • FlexRay cluster parameter dialog is restructured. All parameters needed for the schedule are available on the cluster dialog's high-level page.
  • High-level parameters are checked in FlexRay consistency checks and can be adjusted auto-matically on demand.

Improved Support of CAN Timings (DaVinci Network Designer CAN)

  • CAN timing model improved, timing attributes for Vector interaction layer are supported.

More new Features

  • Support of long symbolic object names (user can define a maximum length of up to 128 characters).
  • Support of signal values for not-valid value and initial/default value.
  • Support of FIBEX version 2.0.1.
  • The values for user defined attributes of a set of objects can be reset to their default values by a single user operation.
  • New column "Receiver" added to the list of network/cluster signals.
  • The creation of an object can be canceled completely with the object dialog’s “Cancel” button.
  • Dialogs fields to enter values in either decimal or hexadecimal format (signal raw values, mes-sage IDs, LIN slave nodes product IDs) indicate the current format. A light green background indicates hexadecimal format, a dark yellow background indicates decimal format.
