2006-11-07: CANoe 6.0

  • CANoe RealTime supports the real-time capable runtime environment Windows CE whose deterministic time management is a prerequisite for precise simulation of FlexRay systems or real-time capable test sequences.
  • Besides CANdelaStudio files (CDD), the Diagnostic Feature Set can now also be parameterized via ODX 2.0.1 description files. This makes it easier to integrate CANoe in different diagnostic tool chains.
  • The Diagnostic Feature Set now also supports functional addressing to sent out diagnostic services.
  • In the Trace Window many functions simplify the analysis of bus communication and window configuration at runtime.
  • CANstress integration in the Test Feature Set was expanded, and it now gives direct access to disturbance and trigger parameters. It is also possible to use multiple CANstress modules in the test environment.
  • The Test Feature Set can be controlled via the COM interface. This means that the test engineer can have test environments and test modules automatically configured, and external programs can start test sequences and query test results.
  • Integration of measurement hardware was expanded substantially; for example, it now offers block transfer for analog inputs and interrupt-capable digital inputs. As a result, it is possible to read-in many measured values or react to edges without excessive system load.

  • New checks for event-triggered frames and wake-up sequences

Extension of LIN Stress Feature Set (*)

  • Emulation of scheduling/Master jitter
  • Disturbance of LIN response and arbitrary bit stream as LIN response
  • Easier stimulation of event-triggered frame and checksum errors

Extension of LIN Analysis Feature Set (*)

  • Freely configurable oscilloscope trigger

(*) requires Vector XL-interfaces

FlexRay
  • FlexRay Frame Panel: Simplifies sending out FlexRay frames to stimulate the network. It is also easy to configure FlexRay-specific parameters such as header flags and cycle multiplexing in addition to adjusting the payload data.

  • FlexRay Cluster Monitor Window: In addition to general network statistics, this window also analyzes the bus traffic and compares it to expected communication behavior as defined in the FIBEX database. Node and Frame views point out any deviations quickly and clearly. Filters make it possible to set a focus on analyzing dedicated frame types (e.g. Network Management)

  • Integration of Vector FlexRay interfaces VN3300 and VN3600: When these interfaces are used together with CANoe the user can flexibly send messages without registration, execute the network startup without a second interface, and achieve short latency times and high data throughput.

  • FIBEX support: Besides support of existing versions, of course the latest FIBEX Release 2.0.0d is also supported. This simplifies configuration of the hardware interfaces and symbolic evaluation in the measurement windows. Also provided is evaluation of information on: Signal groups, Subframes and In-Cycle Multiplexing. This information is displayed clearly in the measurement windows.

  • In-cycle multiplexing: Signals can be transmitted in several slots of the same cycle. The integrated signal layer considers this and automatically sends in the correct slots.

  • CAPL: Special CAPL objects for frames, signals and network configuration make it easy to create simulation models. Supplemental event procedures for Null frames and Error frames expand the functional features.

MOST
  • Trace Window: Individual color highlighting of messages and message groups; export of disassembled messages
  • MOST High Protocol: Disassembly of application data and display of protocol violations in the Trace Window
  • New MOST Filter Block: Lets the user select relevant messages and message groups much more efficiently
  • Registry Window: Can now also operate purely passively or on log files and displays the registry structure
  • Input Help: Simplifies the creation of CAPL programs > Significantly improved user controls: Drag & drop, keyboard controls, more functionality can be controlled directly from the GUI during measurement
  • XML Function Catalog: Extended import of OEM-specific formats
  • Logging: Triggering on MPR, Light&Lock and SBC; support of OP2 and CCO formats
