2006-05-24: CANape 6.0

The new Version 6.0 of the CANape MCD tool from Vector simplifies optimization of ECU parameters in vehicles. Benefits to developers include the XCP-on-FlexRay interface, direct import of ODX files and improved user friendliness.

CANape 6.0 offers the following new features:

Extended bus support and measurement hardware

  • Support of XCP on FlexRay and XCP on LIN 2.0
  • Support of NI-DAQmx driver software from National Instruments

Broad diagnostic support

  • ODX 2.0 support for flash data and diagnostic data
  • Access to A2L-based ECU data via diagnostic functions defined by ODX or CDD
  • Automation interface supporting measurement, calibration, and diagnostics
  • Functional addressing in vehicle diagnostics

Optimized calibration functionality

  • Direct and convenient access to ECU parameters from a single window (Parameter Explorer)
  • ODX-controlled flash programming using script
  • Rapid prototyping support with xPC-Target solutions from MathWorks

Extended measurement and evaluation functionality

  • Script-based evaluation of measurement files
  • Supplemental analysis by the Measurement File Manager, e.g. comparison

Improved user control

  • Enormously simplified user control based on Symbol Explorer and Measurement File Manager with drag-and-drop capability
  • Simplified device configuration with A2L and CDD description files with drag-and-drop
  • Extended analysis by combined graphic digital window
  • Extensive search and filter functions in measurement signal list
  • Route planner functionality with the GPS option

Newly-arranged Database Editor

  • Comparison of two A2L or DB files
  • Tree structure shows all conversion rules, storage schemes, variant criteria and system constants

Expanded calibration data management

  • Any desired filtering depth for signal selection and display
  • Export and import of configurations
  • Interpolation in copying characteristic curves and maps with different numbers of interpolation points
