1-7. Loading a Configuration

Open CANoe, click File, click Load Configuration, navigate to location of desired configuration, click once to highlight, click open.

CANoe/CANalyzer Configuration files have the extension .cfg
A .cfg file contains:

  • The Titles, Locations, and Quantity of Display Windows in the Configuration
  • The location and data contained in all Generation, Filter, Logging, and Trigger blocks.
  • The location and title of CAPL blocks (A CAPL program file will need to be associated to each CAPL block)
  • The BUS information including Type, Baud Rate, Sample Points, BTR’s, and ACK activation
  • List of CAPL dll’s associated with the measurement (DLLs are stored in separate .DLL files!)
  • Location and names of any Panels associated (Panels are stored as separate .CNP files!)
