1-35. Associating a Panel to a CANoe Configuration

There are two ways to add a Panel to a CANoe configuration:

  1. Click on the Configuration menu, and select Panel Configuration.

    a. Click the Add button; navigate to the location of your saved panel, and open.
Inserting a panel using this method allows you to make changes to the type of window the panel will use.  You can make it either a standard window that exists outside of the CANoe window or you can choose to make it an MDI window that will appear on the chosen desktop.
  2. Right-click on the desktop or desktop tab and select Insert Panel to configuration

    a. Navigate to the location of your saved panel, and open.
Inserting a panel using this method will automatically make it a standard window, to change the window type, right-click on the title bar of the panel and select from the context menu or use the Panel Configuration window from the Configuration menu.

Panels are assigned to specific desktops by default.  To change which desktop a panel is assigned to, simply right-click on the panel title bar and choose Move to, and click the desired desktop.  From this menu you can also choose to make the panel visible on all desktops.

Removing panels from a configuration can only be done from the Panel Configuration window.
