What are the minimum requirements for my PC or Laptop to run CANalyzer?
- IBM-compatible PC
- The following configuration values are recommended:
Memory : 512 MB (Minimum), 1 GB (Recommended)
CPU : 1 GHz (Minimum), 2.6 GHz (Recommended)
- The required computer performance also depends on the volume of CAN data to be processed. Please refer to comments in CANalyzer's online Help under the topic "Throughput measurements".
- The following are required to support the examples for the COM port: (D)COM Version 1.2 or newer
What are the minimum requirements for the operating system I am using?
- You can use CANalyzer under Windows NT, 2000 or XP.
Windows Vista is supported by CANalyzer versions 7.0 and later.
The usage of Windows 98 and ME is not recommended because of large deviations with cyclic sending of messages.
- You need administrator rights to install the software on Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
- For optimal performance we recommend that you use Windows 2000 or XP. In Windows 2000, the installation of Service Pack 2 is recommended. In Windows XP, Service Pack 2 is recommended.
