The parameter editor CDM Studio gives the user direct access to the individual parameters and offers a wide range of functions for visualizing and editing and for comparing and merging parameters.
Parameters may be represented numerically, in table format or graphically. Characteristic curves and maps can be edited directly in the Graphic Window. The description file referenced when opening the parameter editor gives the calibration engineer all of the information needed for reliable processing of parameters. This information includes address information, conversion formulas and the entry of ranges of allowable values.
Parameter sets and ECU programs may be compared in the parameter editor. Options to be configured (Hex comparison, physical values and units) permit very efficient comparison operations. The Merge and Pre-Merge functions are used to merge parameters of multiple parameter sets and Hex files. The original source of the copied parameters can be traced in the resulting Merge Target. The Merge Target is loaded directly into the data set and is versioned.

Data Management based on functions and parameters:
eASEE.cdm supports both methods. In function-oriented mode of operation the calibration data are managed and versioned as partial parameter sets (FPAR), according to the function definition in the description file. The FPAR objects are uniquely identified by object class, function name and version, and they permit reuse of calibrated parameters across projects. In parameter-oriented mode all parameters of an ECU program are managed in one parameter set.
Views:
Users can set up different views of the data in eASEE.cdm. They can individually set up their specific context and optimize it for the task at hand.
Searches:
eASEE.cdm offers user-friendly search functions for finding calibration data and parameter sets quickly. The user enters search parameters such as Name, Attribute or Status. Frequently used searches may be saved as queries. Queries may be predefined for use across applications, or they may be user-defined.
Usage Verification:
The Used-In dialog makes it easy for the user to find the data sets in which a specific parameter set is used. It is also possible to search for individual parameters in calibration projects, and a value range may be input for the search.
Integration:
eASEE.cdm is the extension of the eASEE.edm Engineering Data Management System that is specific to the calibration process. Like eASEE.edm, eASEE.cdm has both Client (COM) and Server side programming interfaces for extending functionality and for exchanging data with other applications. A mature plug-in technology facilitates development and integration of your own menus, toolbars and dialogs.
Export:
Data sets, parameter sets, partial parameter sets, ECU programs and metadata can be exported by eASEE.cdm. Csv, and PaCo formats are supported in the export of parameter set files. Furthermore, it is possible to generate Excel reports, and metadata, relations and data sets may be exported in XML format.
Import:
Parameter sets are imported into eASEE.cdm in csv, dcm, PaCo or PAR file format. ECU-specific programs may be imported into eASEE.cdm in Intel-Hex, Motorola S19 or Motorola S3 format with associated description files. The metadata from the file headers are taken as metadata for eASEE.cdm.
