eASEE.cdm - Data Backbone for the ECU Calibration Process

Version Management:

Over the course of a development process eASEE.cdm automatically versions all calibration data, data sets and ECU programs. Each change to calibration data introduced by parameter editing in CDM Studio or by an online calibration tool is documented. This makes development levels traceable and reproducible at any time.

Variants Management:

eASEE.cdm supports the formation of data set variants (Branches) that may be formed in any development phase and can be extended as parallel development branches independently of one another.

Configuration Management:

The data sets of calibration projects are represented in eASEE.cdm as configurations (Containers). Containers are versionable data objects that provide data set baselines. Whenever a new data set is generated the ECU program is automatically updated based on the released parameters.

Multiple Usage:

Physically, all data and document versions exist just once in the system. Data sets are formed by referencing calibration data in the containers. This single-source principle avoids diverging version levels of calibration data that are simultaneously used in different projects.

Role Management:

eASEE.cdm supports the use of a defined calibration process by assigning roles to the involved with associated rights. The lead project calibration engineer with overall responsibility configures the project, defines attributes and variants, creates the data sets, and authorizes calibration specialists to work on the projects. Calibration specialists then execute the calibration of parameters.

Authorization on the parameter level:

Rights and responsibilities for editing parameters may be assigned either globally, on the function level or individually on the parameter level. User groups may be set up in eASEE.cdm for this purpose, and the right to access individual parameters may be defined in a user-specific way.

Assigning rights of calibration specialists on the parameter level:
