At the time of its introduction in 2003, the Vector DaVinci Tool Suite already presaged the principle of the AUTOSAR methodology. This unique tool family supports you in the design of distributed functions, the definition of software components, and the code integration of networked ECUs.
Evolving to an AUTOSAR authoring tool, Version 2.0 of the DaVinci Tool Suite will support the AUTOSAR design methodology and provide open interfaces for the exchange of AUTOSAR-compliant design data. The DaVinci Tool Suite supports you with three tools attuned to one another:
The tools are based on an identical data model but may be used independently.
The DaVinci Tool Suite offers an optional connection to configuration tools such as MS SourceSafe and the Vector process management tool eASEE. When using eASEE, DaVinci works as a direct frontend for the eASEE repositories. In the future, DaVinci will also support the model-based implementation of the functional behavior of AUTOSAR software components using Simulink/Stateflow®.
Finally, as a DaVinci user, you can take advantage of DaVinci's support of CANoe as a test platform. This allows you to create functional tests for the developed software without requiring access to real ECUs.
