CANdito is the diagnostic tester in Vector's diagnostic tool chain. CANdito gives the user symbolic access to all data and functions that can be accessed via the diagnostic protocol. For selecting requirements and interpreting, CANdito reads in data from the following sources:
- CANdela diagnostic database: In this diagnostic database, all information relevant to diagnostics is described with the specification tool CANdelaStudio one time. Afterwards it is available to users throughout the various steps of the development process. This ensures that the diagnostic tester's data supply is up to date, consistent and specific to the ECU.
- ODX 2.0.1 description files (ASAM standard format)
Another advantage of CANdito is its ability to communicate with the ECUs of different automotive OEMs. This means that ECU suppliers in the automotive industry only need one diagnostic tester for different brands of vehicles. Besides its use as a diagnostic tester, CANdito is also capable of acquiring and evaluating measurement data from the CAN, LIN or FlexRay bus or external measuring devices.
