Vector tools (e.g. CANoe, CANdito and CANape) need for paramerization their diagnostic test functionalities a diagnostic description file (cdd file).
This cdd file is generated by CANdelaStudio. Vector Tools read in only cdd file formats that are valid at their current release date.
Problem:
User A is working with CANdelaStudio version 5.0 and is saving cdd data in the CANdelaStudio 5.0 format.
User B is working with CANoe 5.2 and needs for parameterization of the diagnostic console a cdd file.
With CANoe 5.2 user B is only able to read in cdd files that are generated from CANdelaStudio in 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 format, because these cdd file formats were valid at the release date of CANoe 5.2.
Solution:
User B needs special converters to read in CANdelaStudio 5.0 cdd file format. These special converters can be installed using an Addon, that is available via the download center.
The following table shows, which Vector tool reads in which cdd file versions and when you will need the Converter Addon.
| Which tool version... (starting with) |
... reads in, which cdd file version (without converter) (= CANdelaStudio version) |
