The following items are included with delivery of the CANbedded components:
- Configuration Tool (Executable Windows Program)
- Software components (C or assembly source code, C header files)
- Documentation (manuals, read-mes, etc.)
- Sample programs
Vector CANbedded software components are generally available in C, but may also be provided in assembly language for time-critical applications on small micro-computers. The advantage of source code components is the simple handling of many different configurations, which directly results in efficient object code.
The application interface is defined in a C header file. This file must be included into the user program in order to use the services.
The object code of CANbedded software components is linked to the application and is thus located in the executable program, which can be loaded onto the target hardware.
