OSEK/VDX compatible operating systems are used more and more frequently in software projects to comprehend increasing complexity through modularization. For users of operating systems of this type, the CANape Option OSEK monitor offers a powerful tool for field-testing.
One significant advantage of the system: When used together with the CAN bus, no additional debugging interface is required.
Features and Advantages:
The OSEK Monitor Option is an extension of the CANape measurement and calibration system. In addition to the basic features of CANape that allow access to parameters and measurement values, operating system data can be observed in parallel. Measurement values and operating system data can be displayed in CANape and OSEK Monitor measurement windows simultaneously. This ensures optimal evaluation.
Functions:
OSEK Monitor is equipped with a user-friendly interface and offers the following features:
- All measurement windows of the OSEK Monitor and all measured signals of the OSEK operating system are displayed in a tree structure.
- Signals can be assigned to the windows either by using drag and drop or with menu commands or the keyboard.
Application Areas:
ECUs with an OSEK operating system can be observed at runtime with the aid of the OSEK Monitor option in CANape. The only prerequisite for this is that a CAN interface must be available, which is generally assured for modern control devices. This allows a connection even to physically inaccessible ECUs. Data exchange via CAN is realized with the standard protocol ASAM MC1a (CCP).
