CANape 6.5

Measuring & Calibrating on the LIN bus

Using this measurement, calibration and diagnostic tool you can calibrate both the LIN Master and LIN Slaves either via XCP or UDS on CAN or via XCP on LIN directly.

Monitoring the LIN bus
The effects of parameter calibration in a LIN node can be tracked time-synchronously to all other measurement data (CAN, LIN, FlexRay and external test equipment). CANape as a purely passive bus node observes the LIN bus. Besides LIN1.x, LIN2.0 and LIN2.1 the tool also supports the Cooling-Bus.

Measuring and calibrating parameters on the LIN bus
With CANape as an "XCP on CAN" Master and the LIN Master as an "XCP on CAN" Slave you can measure and calibrate parameters of the LIN Master.
You can measure and calibrate a LIN Slave without connecting CANape in the LIN network. In this case, the LIN Master must gateway the calibration protocol e.g. XCP between CAN and LIN. To directly measure and calibrate LIN Slaves, CANape can temporarily log on as a LIN Slave. In which case the LIN Master must allow CANape and the LIN Slave to communicate per inter-slave communication.
