After the AUTOSAR base software has been configured consistently, integration of the ECU-specific software is made substantially easier by the standardized interfaces. Based on the ECU Configuration Description, code generators are used to generate or adapt the base software for the specific ECU, so that there is no need for manual adaptations. The RTE integrates the implementation code for application components with the base software.
