1-9. Running a Simulation with Loopback

When you have your configuration loaded, make sure your CAN Hardware is plugged in and that the loop-back cable is secured between the two channels.  The demo programs that are preconfigured in CANoe send all messages on channel 1, and use channel 2 to acknowledge.  The loop-back cable (CANcable1/0) contains the necessary termination resistance for a high speed CAN bus.  Load any of the demo configurations, and start the measurement.

To start the measurement:

  • Click the Lightning Bolt Icon from the taskbar, or
  • Click Start from the Start dropdown menu, or
  • Hit the F9 key.
